My aim is to share my reflection on certain values, concerns, struggles and victories of the human spirit.

My work is rooted in my own experiences and as well as through my perceptions of the experience of other peoples.

I have been greatly influenced by the work of many different African cultures (in particular the Dogon),

in both form and content.

I began my professional artistic journey in the Brooklyn, New York art scene in the late 90s.

Since then I have participated in a number of group exhibits in New York City and surrounding areas.

I am currently living and working in Harlem, New York City.

I am also an art-educator and art-activist (see Projects).
